First off, I moved here from oklahoma. I first talked to them through email, for an apartment. Settled on a studio which was 699 at the time with a 6 month lease. Upon moving here, when I come to sign the lease, they moved me to a 1 bedroom. Which turned out to be 799 a month with a 6 month lease. Which we couldn't really afford at the time, but we needed a place to stay.
The apartment itself isn't that nice, but decent sized. There was water damage on the floor in the living room. The box cable for the TV came off the wall, old gum/food all over the wood floor in the kitchen and living room. The bathroom had mold on the tub, as well as the sink. The vent in the bathroom looked like it never got cleaned, 2 inches of dust was on it. The dishwasher didn't work. Asked them to fix it numerous times. They brought a new one after 3 months of being there, but of course it never got installed properly. Asked them again numerous times to get it to work, seeing as I was paying for it. In the 6 months of living there, it never got turned on or fixed properly. Not only that, but my garbage disposal wasn't working either, and had water just sitting in the sink. That took them 4 months to "fix." When they fixed it, instead of moving stuff from under the sink, they left it there, that water has was sitting there for MONTHS got all over everything. And it smelled horribly. Had to throw $80 worth of stuff away. Also, during winter, my heater went out in the living room, it took them 2 months to get it fixed, and that's only because the one in the bedroom went out as well. I ended up having to spend $120 for 2 portable heaters to heat the house, I wasn't going to let my dog freeze.
Then, once my lease was up (i left because they raised my rent to 950 a month), I gave a 30 day notice, even talked to Orin(the manager) myself about moving out. Come to find out, they posted an eviction notice on my door, took my deposit and say I still owe 750 for rent plus attorney fees.
Now the property was okay, there is usually always parking. Quiet area for the most part. The washing machines upstairs in the main building, was usually broken, and they dryer takes upwards of an hour and a half to dry ONE small load of laundry. There is ALWAYS dog poop in the grassy area next to the pool. The pop vending machine always took your money, and wouldn't dispense the drinks properly. The hallways were usually always clean and smelled nice. The cleaning lady is wonderful. Anytime anyone moves out, it's pretty much free bids on anything the person left.
Over all it was an okay place to stay. Just don't expect to get Billy ever to fix anything in a reasonable amount of time. I don't know how many times he told me that he could get in trouble because he "didn't have enough time to fix my problems." But he's an all around cool guy.
The only way I would recommend this place to anyone is if they're in desperate need of a place to stay for a SHORT amount of time.
